Christmas is a time of the year when Muslims are under great pressure to participate in the holiday festivities.
Whether its Muslim children joining in at their school play or their parents attending the customary “Holiday” party at work or even the Mosque administration advocating for Muslims to attend a “Holiday” Interfaith Activity, it appears easier to go with the flow then to be the odd one out.
The speaker draws on the great example of the first hijra (migration) and the discussion of Jafar Ibn Abi Talib and the Abyssinian King al-Najashi (Negus) and what action we Muslims of today should be taking during this season.
