Bismillahi Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon the best of messengers, our master Mohammad, and upon all his family and companions...
Bukhari extracted in his Sahih on the authority of Muhammad Bin Ziyad that he said, I heard Abu Hurairah (ra) say: that the Prophet (saw) said, or he said: Abu Al-Qasim (saw) said: «صوموا لِرُؤيتِهِ وأَفْطِرُوا لرؤيتِهِ فإنْ غُـبِّيَ عليكم فَعُدُّوا ثَلَاثِينَ»“Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break it on sighting it. But if (due to clouds) the actual position of the moon is concealed from you, you should then complete thirty days.”
After investigating the new moon of Shawwal on this blessed eve of Sunday, the sighting of the new moon has been confirmed according to the Shariah requirements. Accordingly, tomorrow, Sunday, will be the first day of the month of Shawwal and the first day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.
On this occasion, Hizb ut Tahrir extends its sincere congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of blessed Eid al-Fitr, asking Allah to bring it back next year with its state established, its Deen empowered, and its honorable Islam glorified. I also extend special congratulations, on behalf of myself and the Head of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir and all the brothers and sisters working in its departments and units, to the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah (may Allah protect him). We ask Allah (swt) to grant him success in fulfilling the glad tidings of the Messenger of Allah (saw) of the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood at his hands.
While we are pained by the decades-long scourge of wars that have plagued our Islamic Ummah, as one de-escalates another erupts, decimating its people and claiming their lives—not least is the brutal war that has been ongoing against our people in Gaza and the West Bank since October 7, 2023—we nevertheless anticipate a change that is beginning to unfold, transforming the state of the Islamic Ummah from one of killing and humiliation to one of victory and glory, and, Allah willing, bringing an end to the Ummah's tragedies.
Since the Arab Spring revolutions, then Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa and the fall of the criminal Bashar al-Assad, the Islamic Ummah has been in a state of turmoil and conflict with the reality imposed upon it by the West. It has become more acutely aware of the ugliness of this reality and more eager to free itself from it. It has grown closer to Islam, becoming stronger and more determined to confront its rulers in an attempt to reclaim its authority from them.
The Ummah has experienced the toll of remaining under the yoke of agent regimes. It has witnessed with its own eyes the rulers' squandering of its wealth to the kuffar, colonialist West, their abandonment of it and its causes, their prevention of armies from mobilizing to rescue Palestine from the clutches of the criminal Jews, the blatant Western interference in its religion and its integrity, and the attempt to force it to bow its head to the Jewish entity, leaving it with the choice between normalization and death. All these scenes and events have made it realize that without the rule of Islam, it will remain colonized, targeted, and humiliated. Its conviction of its need for a Khilafah (Caliphate) state has been strengthened, and indeed, the Khilafah (Caliphate) has become its quest.
By the grace of Allah, the Ummah has begun to find its way and no longer accepts postponing the implementation of Islam as a way of life. It has a clear and blatant aversion to secularism. In Ash-Sham, it is demanding that its new rulers declare it purely for Allah alone, and in all the lands, it is monitoring them, asking Allah to grant them success and guidance.
The West is at its weakest point in controlling the Ummah, and therefore it is at its fiercest, trying to tighten its grip on Muslims and their countries. That is why we have seen its direct and proxy wars, lava poured on the Islamic Ummah and its countries, killing and destroying entire countries. We also see it eager to steal their wealth, and all of that is only because it realizes that this is its last dance before it loses its influence and agents in Muslim countries, irrevocably.
It is true that someone might say that the West possesses a massive killing machine and has agents controlling the Muslims. It controls the world's essential facilities, monitors Muslim countries, spies on them, and counts their breaths. However, the West are humans like us. As we witness, Allah has preoccupied the West with itself, and their hearts have become divided. We are the people of these lands, they are strangers to them, so we are the strongest in them. Furthermore, the Islamic Ummah has engaged in direct conflict with the West in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Syria, and elsewhere, and it has become clear that wherever efforts were sincere and concerted, the West has been defeated and withdrew. Its return to these lands was only because the rulers conspired against it once again, and exposed their backs to them so that it could stab them in the back. This brings us to the inescapable truth: the West cannot confront the Islamic Ummah except with the support of traitorous rulers. This has been its practice since the destruction of the Khilafah until today. Therefore, the Islamic Ummah must rid itself of the agent rulers and feed the enemy into a unified effort under a sincere leadership like Hizb ut Tahrir to achieve this goal and regain its strength. There is only a thin thread between the Ummah and victory.
O Muslims: Liberation can be achieved at any moment. You have seen how Allah (swt) has sent down victory upon you in many places. You were victorious when you sincerely worked for the sake of Allah alone. Allah (swt):
[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ]
“O believers! If you stand up for Allah, He will help you and make your steps firm” [Muhammad: 7].
With Allah's help and the determination of Muslim youth, you were able to impose a new reality on the West in Ash-Sham, Afghanistan, and Palestine. The Kaffir West is weaker than it appears.
To those working in the field of creating public opinion: Do not occupy your Ummah with narrow ideas and distractions that waste efforts. Rather, direct your efforts toward guiding it toward implementing Islamic law as a complete and uncompromising system of life. Support it so that it can free itself from the oppression of Sykes-Picot and return to thinking and acting as a single Ummah, so that the West will not be able to confront it.
O People of Power and Protection: This is your opportunity to take the hand of the Ummah towards dignity and empowerment, and to free it from the criminal rulers, and from the domination of the kaffir colonizers over it. You can now see the arrogance of the West and its crimes against your Ummah, your lands and your wealth. So be like Saad, As’ad and Usaid, to write the pages of the future with ink of light as was written by your righteous predecessors, the supporters of the Messenger of Allah (saw). So, hasten, O officers and general staff of the Muslim armies, and do not fear anyone but Allah, for He is Al Qahir (Subduer) over His servants and He is Able to do all things. Allah (swt) says:
[إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ اللهُ فَلاَ غَالِبَ لَكُمْ وَإِن يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَن ذَا الَّذِي يَنصُرُكُم مِّن بَعْدِهِ وَعَلَى اللهِ فَلْيَتَوَكِّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ]
“If Allah helps you, none can defeat you. But if He denies you help, then who else can help you? So in Allah let the believers put their trust” [Aali-Imran: 160].
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La illaha illa Allah… Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa Lillahil Hamd
