In the Muslim World where the thought of unity is met with “Unity of the Muslims is not possible”, it was refreshing to see Muslims around the world be proud of the Moroccan football team running to their mothers to celebrate wins, making sajda (prostrating) to Allah (swt), reciting Sura Fatiha before that penalty shootout against Spain and chanting for Palestine.
At the core of these celebrations, there is something more important than fantastic plays or unbelievable goals.
